Hello. My name is Tolga Ulker
and I'm a designer.
I was born in Istanbul, TURKEY.
Studied at the University of Alabama, majored in Marketing and Business.
Got my certification in Art Design at UCLA Extension.
In 2006, my design journey commenced with a simple need: creating a logo. Yet, I found myself at a loss for where to begin. Recognizing the necessity for a deeper understanding of design's history, principles, and fundamentals, I embarked on a year-long educational journey at Bilge Adam, a private course. Six years later, hungry for further knowledge, I enrolled in UCLA Extension to enrich my skills.
My expertise spans various realms of design, encompassing websites, social media content, and marketing for businesses both large and small. This breadth of experience uniquely equips me to excel across multiple domains. Crafting strategies and campaigns, I possess a keen eye for layout, typography, color, and imagery. Proficient in an array of design tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and others, I've honed my craft over a decade, collaborating with brands to bring their visions to life through visual designs, user experiences, and dynamic graphics.
Central to my design ethos is a meticulous process rooted in problem-solving. Understanding the client's needs, formulating strategies, and iterating through revisions culminates in timeless, bespoke designs. Each project undergoes a systematic journey from problem definition and idea generation to prototyping, testing, and implementation, ensuring client satisfaction at every stage.
Driven by a profound passion for design, I draw inspiration from diverse sources such as music, art, photography, and pop culture. As an avid photographer, I seamlessly integrate visuals into my work, whether for business endeavors, client projects, or personal expression.
Beyond the realms of design, I lead an active lifestyle, relishing in activities like hiking, running, swimming, and snowboarding. Traveling enables me to immerse myself in different cultures, savor new cuisines, and glean inspiration from the world's diversity. Music serves as a constant companion, setting the tone for my creative endeavors, while my love for cooking fuels my culinary pursuits, suggesting an alternate path as a chef, had design not beckoned me.
I am a Los Angles based graphic designer. I specialize in logo design, brand identity, illustration, motion graphics, and marketing. I am available for a full time position and freelance. I also would love to collaborate with other designers for different projects as well.
